The Jaeger Le-Coultre Reverso originates from the need for polo players to protect the easily scratched glass of Edwardian-era watches, with the patent for the innovative swivelling watch case filed in 1931.
Today, the dial is protected by highly durable sapphire crystal, but the swivelling case remains. Not only is it an elegant and iconic Art Deco shape with a firm place in horological history, but it also allows the owner to engrave the other side of the case and appreciate the engraving without taking off the watch.
The 'classic small size' 38x23mm steel case is an excellent size for most wrists, evoking the proportions of its illustrious predecessors.
The blued sword-shaped hands are powered by the manual-wind Calibre 846 with a power-reserve of 40 hours, with Jaeger-LeCoultre well known for the quality of their movements.
